We were founded in October 2025 after the owner, Isayah Johnsman sustained injuries in a workplace related incident. In an effort to better provide for the future of his immediate family, and to be able to regulate the safety standards that were employed by their work environment, Isayah started Johnsman’s Home Repair with one idea in mind. Isayah wanted to provide his community with dependable solutions, as well as reset the standard for safety in this industry.

Our first official contract, was for demolition services and design consultation for a local entrepreneur in Ohio City, OH. This same entrepreneur became a significant financial investor into our start-up, and has even contracted us again for larger projects since then!

Our Co-Owner, Jackson Cooper, joined the team in May of 2026. Bringing certified carpentry expertise, visionary perspective, creativity and roofing experience to the table, Jackson is an incredibly valuable member of our team. Jackson is the brother of the founder and owner, Isayah Johnsman.

Our team consists of extended family members licensed and experienced in their respective trades, and reliable, local sub-contractors who are specialists in their fields of expertise. From our electricians, to our general laborers, the Johnsman’s standard applies beyond just our family walls, and into your homes.

Isayah received their education and credentials from his formal apprenticeship under a licensed plumbing contractor, and from his studies at Northwest State Community College. Isayah is certified in Industrial Electrical, Pipefitting, PLC Maintenance, Fluid Power Mechanics, and Millwright Service.

Jackson received their credentials from our local trades school at Apollo Career Center, focusing in Carpentry. Their roofing expertise stems from their time under another local roofing contractor from Northwest Ohio.

Our other employees and sub-contractors have completed formal courses, apprenticeships, or have over 20+ years of positive ratings and proof of customer satisfaction. That is part of the Johnsman Way.
